Partners with Manual Medicine Rehabilitation & Research

for Student-Athlete Health & Wellness

 

As of September 1, 2025
Clovis Schools is proud to announce a new partnership with Manual Medicine Rehabilitation & Research’s (MMR&R), to provide on-site health, recovery, and injury support for student-athletes and faculty in the Athletics Department.

 

What Students Receive

  • Game & Event Coverage – On-site evaluation and care during athletic events, with EMS support for emergencies.

  • School Clinic Hours – Two weekly sessions at the school, offering consultations and light treatment that may include manual therapy, ultrasound, laser therapy, concussion evaluations, posture and balance testing, and hands-on rehab. Students are taken care of on a first-come-first-serve basis as time permits

  • Injury Management & Recovery – Taping, manipulation, and rehabilitation guidance to keep athletes safe and return them to play faster.

  • Advanced Care Referrals- to main MMR&R clinic for extensive and advanced recovery requiring further medical investigation, dedicated treatment time, and root-cause treatment not available at Clovis schools.

All the CHS Clinic site services are free for student athletes, covered by the district.

 

When More Care Is Needed

For athletes who require deeper evaluation, MMR&R’s [811 Lexington Rd. Clovis, NM] main clinic offers:

  • X-rays and lab testing

  • Comprehensive baseline exams

  • Advanced rehabilitation (laser, decompression, neuro rehab, U.T.S. corrections)

  • Personalized nutrition and supplement programs

Student-athletes receive a 15% discount on all clinical services.

 

Why This Matters

This partnership ensures Clovis Municipal Schools athletes have access to non-drug, non-surgical care that supports faster recovery, reduces missed school and practice time, and optimizes long-term health and performance.

Individuals aged 14-23, Seniors 55+, first responders (Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement), and military (Active Duty [and the immediate family of Active Duty Members, with valid dependent ID], Reserve, and Veterans) receive a discount on upfront payment of treatment packages, the initial exam, the initial purchase of nutraceuticals and supplements, and all supplement purchases after the initial.

What does our Comprehensive Initial Exam include?

The Initial exam may include, but may not be limited to:  

  1. Full set of X-rays (before the appointment) [Number will depend on Age and condition but can be from 16-20 for an adult or 7-15 for children and teens] 

  2. Nutrition Consult [NRT] (Form of Muscle Testing that looks at neuromuscular interface and nutritional correlations) 

  3. Supplement and nutraceutical recommendations 
  4. Repair Diet (as needed) 
  5. Heart Rate Variability [HRV] Test (Comprehensive heart rhythm-based nutrition, autonomic nervous system, and orthostatic testing) 
  6. Full History  
  7. Examination of the Area of Complaint 
  8. Ultrasound of Complaint Area (as needed) [Focus on Thyroid, Gallbladder, Liver, and other medically necessary structures] 
  9. Pain and Sensation Testing (Small diameter nerve function) 
  10. Vibration and Sensitivity Testing (Large diameter nerve function) 

  11. Reflex Assessment (Tendon function) 
  12. Range of Motion Testing [Posture Co.] (as needed) 
  13. Posture Analysis (Establishing baseline structure) 
  14. Pupillary Reflex Test (Super Color Challenge as needed) [Neurological and Concussion evaluation] 
  15. Heart Sound Testing (Blood flow, valve, blood nutrition, and murmur detection) 
  16. Balance/Vestibular Systems Testing (Neurological and Concussion evaluation) 
  17. Toxicity Assessment (to be completed prior to appointment) [Investigative and Preventative] 
  18. Organ and Systems Assessment (to be completed prior to appointment) [Investigative and Preventative Nutrition] 
  19. Labs set up before or after the initial appointment (Based on items mentioned by the patient and provider specification) 

  20. Follow-up/Initial Exam Results Review (Included with the initial exam to receive results and personal findings report book)
