MMR&R will be collaborating with Alpha & Omega Chiropractic & Wellness from Ruidoso, NM, and Southwest University of Naprapathic Medicine from Santa Fe and Albuquerque to complete multiple studies involving Functional Neurology, Functional Nutrition, and Veterans Health Services, in conjunction with the VA Health System.
In the coming year (2025-2026), the "Vets helping Vets" initiative (A pilot program with the VA to offer Anti-Inflammatory Naprapathic Care to Veterans and Military) will be taking off in conjunction with the VA Health System, the State of New Mexico, and the City of Albuquerque. Our very own Dr. Alexjandro Daviano will be leading the research for the clinical care efforts.

All Services and therapies will be tailored to each patient, considering what assessments and evaluations reveal about a patient's health condition(s).
We follow a model that looks to avoid the use of Pharmaceuticals (to include opiates) and Surgical interventions, if possible. We will not utilize these modalities in our care. However, there are cases where these options may need to be considered, and patients will then be referred to the appropriate providers as necessary.
Some of our latest research from therapies utilized in our office includes, but is not limited to:
Pupillary Response to pain stimulation and how this can be used to target better relieving therapies. (In progress)
Eye movements and how they can be used to better understand the involvement of different brain areas with pain and other functional responses, and their health applications. (In progress)
Our Services include health services research and medical research (mainly manual medicine and nutritionally focused). Health services researchers typically investigate how healthcare is delivered, organized, financed, and accessed, focusing on improving quality, outcomes, and equity. Our work will often involve studying patient experiences, healthcare policies, cost-effectiveness, and the impact of various interventions on population health. Also, our medically focused research may center around applied research that examines the effectiveness and mechanisms of hands-on therapies. This includes studying how manipulations, mobilizations, or rehabilitative exercises can alleviate pain, restore function, and improve patient outcomes. The research emphasizes evidence-based approaches to translate study findings into practice to enhance healthcare delivery and patient well-being.
Patients may opt out of research participation on request at any time
Manual Medical Services
Will entail different modalities and techniques depending on the patient's needs.
These techniques are gentler ligament, tendon, and muscle-based approaches to adjustments, corrections, and manipulations of the body to ensure alignment and correct biomechanical function. They also allow for more blood flow to reduce inflammation and give the chance to subside and alleviate pain faster and more completely. These would include, but are not limited to:
Bulging and slipped Vertebral Discs
Herniated Vertebral Discs
Carpal tunnel
Nerve entrapment release
Sore Muscles
Inflamed organs and muscles
Buckled Ligaments
Tendon Release
Muscle Energy Techniques
Bone Dysfunction
Arthritis
Pulled Muscles
Sciatica
Back pain
General Aches and Pains
Whip-Lash
Aches due to Aging
Fibromyalgia
Myofascial Release
Spinal-related Misailments
Nutrition Response Testing® (NRT®), muscle testing, and other test-based evaluations will be utilized to ensure high-quality assessment of our patients' individual needs. Nutraceutical and whole food-based supplementation available to only licensed providers will be used. NRT® can help with the following and more:
Techniques, services, and evaluations, to name a few, are:
COVID-related dysfunctions
These range and include exercises and low-velocity therapies (in conjunction with nutrition) to ensure the steadfastness of treatments and longevity of patient wellness, health, and healing. Different issues we will address may include, but are not limited to:
